Isuzu 6BD1
I have a 1987 27ft Sport Cruiser with an Isuzu 6BD1 (non Turbo) 157 hp diesel. I need a new air filter unit. The one that is on it now is in really bad shape. It approx. 5" Dia. 2" thick and has a foam filter insert. It bolts directly to the manifold (3 bolts). Ive been unable to locate one. All I can find is one for the turbocharged engine (6BD1T). Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Isuzu 6BD1
Can you save the adapter or make one?
That way you can buy a K & N or other brand cleanable renewable filter and have a lifetime unit that will help the engine breath better.
That would be my approach.

Re: Isuzu 6BD1
jleonard,
Thanks for the reply. As soon as I read your suggestion, I found a site that sells K&N products and it took a little time scrolling thru their universal filters, but I found one that should work. I'll use the base and top of the old unit.
Thanks again for the suggestion.
