Albin 21

As owner of an A 21 boat I am looking for other owners of the same type boat in order to exchange experiences in maintenance, refurbishment and spare parts.
The specific feature of this boat is that the engine is placed under the aft bench, rotated 180 degrees and by an excentric shaft coupled to an "V" transmission box wherefrom the propeller shaft is placed in normal position.
My interest is in locating the supplier/manufacturer of the "V" transmission box that would need revision and probably refurbishment.
Thanks, regards,
Igor

Welcome Igor. This forum grows in very interesting directions. I have never actually seen an Albin 21 here in America, but V-drive transmissions are pretty common. My Albin 28 TE has a Yanmar 6 cylinder diesel that is "reversed" and powers a ZF V drive type transmission. Their should be some information stamped on the transmission, perhaps on a plate attached to it. If you provide the manufacturer and model number it might be possible to track down parts or a replacement.
