One of the posts on my bow rail has popped from the gunwale and I can't get below deck access to it. Looks like a bolt is embedded in the glass that goes into the post through a metal base. Normally I'd add a hatch so I could then through bolt with a back plate. No can do in this situation. Was thinking about securing it with three screws drilled through the base right into the fiberglass. If I do that, should I fill the hole with epoxy or will 5200 do the trick? Or is there a better solution?
Thanks.
Rick

I agree 5200 and woodm stainless wood screws with a strong bite will do the trick. Here's a shot of the underside of the deck I took when I had to access my bow rail bolts. Curious - How did it pop? What let go?
