A27 Rub Rail Replacement Suggestions

Post by Downeast »

Our A27AC is ready for a new rub rail; tired of those tricky drips into unknown corners. :o . I've got the rub rail and bracket--Hamilton Marine.

Ideas on the best way to do the job ? Does the joint need to be mechanically secured through the bracket ( rivets were used spaced ~1' through the bracket originally ) ? Or, is the bracket and 3M 5200 sufficient for holding the hull and deck ? How does the rub rail go around the stern quarters without deforming? Hot water ?

Thx.

Downeast,
I don't have a answer to your specific question. I'm sure others will jump in here. I just wanted to welcome you to the group.

Welcome aboard.
