Skeg/Rudder Shoe
During a pre-sale survey, we found what looks like a hairline crack near the bottom of the bronze (I assume) skeg shoe (photos attached) on my 1996 32+2. Has anyone else encountered similar? Suggested fixes? I've shown it to 2 machinists to see if it can be welded or brazed, and one question has been whether the entire part was cast or extruded...who knows since Albin has been out of business so long?! Any insight would be helpful to me and my interested buyer. Thanks!
