Hello, I just bought Mike Almvig's 1971 A-25 that has been in Anacortes, WA for about the last 35 years.
Yesterday I was able to finally bring the boat home to Port Townsend and had a good passage across the Straits. It has a recent Yanmar 3YM 20 which ran like a top for the crossing.
I will build a hard-top for the aft part of the cockpit as the soft-top needs replacing. My question for the forum is about the hard-top question. I have found photos of many different alternatives, but can't find anything about the topic here. Has it been covered here?
Thanks,
Russell

Re: New owner of 1971 Albin 25
Welcome, I love Port Townsend, however last time I was there was probably 1993 or 1994. Always strikes me the similarities between Port Townsend and Camden, Maine.
I also have a Albin 25 and I am also collecting ideas for the eventual soft top failure. Right now I am really thinking the best route is hard top over the steering wheel and soft over the aft part, but continue it over the aft cabin to create a storage/ work surface.
