Not sure where to put this, mods please move it if I’ve put it in the wrong place.
As many must know, the Francis Scott Key Bridge in the Patapsco River was knocked down early this week. Just the wreckage blocks the channel, and will for some time. The Coast Guard has placed a 2000 yard radius Safety Zone around the site where no person or craft may be in the water. This completely blocks off the Baltimore Harbor including Curtis Bay and the Inner Harbor. In the article linked below, there is a map showing the zone. It’s still too early for my boat to be in, but for anyone who may have been planning to go to Baltimore.

Re: Patapsco River Safety Zone
This is as good a place as any, Ed. Thanks for posting. What a horrendous situation with long-range ramifications for a key eastern seaboard port.

Re: Patapsco River Safety Zone
The eastern side of the bridge is the northern side of Bear Creek. That’s where my boat is. Truly mind blowing.

Re: Patapsco River Safety Zone
Hey Ed, my boat is up in Middle River at the moment. Is Bear Creek, Anchor Bay, and Hard Yacht still accessible?

I haven’t been down there, but it looks like there is enough room to get up the creek if you stay close to the southern/eastern side of the creek.Jkraft wrote: ↑Sun Mar 31, 2024 1:50 pmHey Ed, my boat is up in Middle River at the moment. Is Bear Creek, Anchor Bay, and Hard Yacht still accessible?
