28TE - hull mounted louvered vents

Post by tabishop »

Anyone have a source for them? I have a 96 and the plastic vents on the side of the pilothouse are cracked. I've seen some references to Atwood replacements but that was long ago and I don't see the right size on that site now. Thanks for any help!

My 2001 28TE has stainless steel vents. I replaced the ones on the side of the hull with these and they were a perfect match...

Thank you for sharing. I think the Whitecap will work for my 27FC hull mounted vents that were pretty banged up when we bought her.

Just bought three new ones from Go2Marine, you may need the collector boxes also, they are plastic and very thin walled, so they can get damaged very easily, the louvers are Sea-Dog Slotted Ventilator, 3-5/8" wide, 5 louvers, Type 5, I'm cleaning up the old ones, keeping them as spares, and getting the new ones powder coated black, they are a real pain to polish and seem to attract rust no matter what I do, so this should alleviate one of the maintenance items off my list. I'd consider replacing the vent hose that attaches to the collector box and goes to the bilge.
