New to me 2000 Albin 28TE engine box--Island Time

Post by rcbulloch »

At the end of last year, I acquired a 2000 28te with 315 Yanmar 6LP. I have taken her out several times during the winter because, in my view, its beautiful all year round here in the San Juans but expect to go out more now that the weather seems to be hinting at Spring. But I am admittedly new to this boat and all the systems involved. My home base is Friday Harbor. I am looking to connect with other Albin or 28TE owners to bounce ideas off and possible rendezvous. Are there any other 28TE owners in the Puget Sound Area?

Thanks,
Bob

At the end of last year, I acquired a 2000 28te with 315 Yanmar 6LP.

The 6LP was rated @ 300hp, the 6LPA was 315hp.
They are for all practical purposes the same engine and the 315 rating was accomplished by using a different intake air temperature.

Different fuel temp Dag. 40°c for one and 15°c for the other. Essentially the fuel is still going through the same fuel cooler anyway!
