Ontario Spring 2023 ???

Post by SalishAire »

Our grandson will graduate from high school in Welland Ontario next year and we are considering pulling the Albin from the PNW to Ontario rather than the Airstream. Once there we would plan to play in the Canadian canals, Georgian Bay, etc..

QUESTION: We are looking to buy the cruising guides by Ports Cruising Guides. Does anyone have any of the books they would consider parting with???? (If you are in Canada, we are flying to Ontario October 19th and it would likely be cheaper to mail them there.)

Thanks!

The Rideau canal is wonderful, and you will find a great extensive guide to it on the net.

Thanks Woody5. I been reading up on it quite a bit and traveled the length of it on google earth looking for ramps and potential car-trailer parks. We will probably start at Marina Rive du Nord just east of Montreal and go up to old port and stay there for a day or so and then take Lachine canal. Not sure how long we can go in the time we can be away. Might be hard to do the full loop but thats when Ubers are handy! Or have Ylon at Rive du Nord pick us up in his Rolls Royce!
