I am having issues with my Vacuum toilet. It has work so well over the years. It start it was leaking slightly somewhere in the system. It would run every 20 minutes. Then it started to not attempt a pump up. It is now winterized.
I called Sealand and they gave me a phone number for J Gorden & Company. I believe they can fix it, but they might fix my wallet too. Just curious if anyone has performed a complete system service, or knows of any one else in the Annapolis area that might be able to help.

Re: Vacuum Flush Sealand issue
First step with a Vacuflush is to replace the duckbills. Any idea when it was last done? It's very easy . . . as long as you have access to the pump. Do you have the manual for the toilet?

Re: Vacuum Flush Sealand issue
I've done a complete rebuild of my VacuFlush system from duckbills, hoses, pumps and the toilet bowl seals and learned a lot along the way. It is now holding a vacuum and most recently for 4 weeks while checked on the hard.
You need to first isolate whether the vacuum leak is at the toilet or at the vacuum generator back into the tank and the evacuation pump. This can all be done while on the hard and winterized.
First step - disconnect the 1 1/2 inch evacuation hose from the base of the toilet and plug the hose. (a 1 1/2 inch plug can be obtained at your local plumbing supply store / there is zero need to purchase a vacuum gauge) Power the head switch on your panel to turn on the vacuum generator. If the vacuum holds then you have determined that the bowl seals in the base of the toilet need to be replaced. A bowl seal kit for about $40.00 or a complete toilet lower is available for about $225 / $250.
A good resource for parts and videos is Aqua Star Distributors or their sister company Seacoast Services, both offering free phone tech support.
