The New England Boat show is Jan 12 - 20 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. If any of you Albineers are planning to attend, drop me a line, happy to hook up. Any excuse to hang out on boats! I'll be attending at least 2 evenings, not sure which but I will be flexible.

Albin a no show
I went Sunday night with my wife and saw no sign of Albin. First time in years they weren't there. I know they had been booked to attend. Really too bad. I'll be back again Wed. night and will scope it out again in case I missed something.

I received a letter from Eastern Yacht Sales out of Hingham dated January 7th introducing themselves as the newest Albin Dealer & inviting me to stop by Booth 1220 to check out their line of Mainships and a hand scribble in the corner referenced Booth 1200 for the Albin line.
I was wondering if those co-op dollars for Albin dealers had completely dried up. With Rick's report it sounds as if it has.
I am going to try and make the show one day or night this week. I'll be shopping for ideas for mounting a flat screen TV and finding a source and pricing a retractable screen for my Alaskan bulkhead.

Talk to Brian at Seacrest Marine - - he should help you out with flat screen mount ideas. He's exhibiting there. I'm heading down again tomorrow (Wed.) after work and will check for more signs of Albin life!

I talked to Ken Hilton at Standish Boat Yard back in November about the N E Boat Show.
He was really bummed out that Albin had closed up, with no answers, and he had already made a 50% deposit on the Boat Show that he had no idea if he would get it back.
Ken's only boat line was Albin. He said he had nothing to sell, and would only be there to "answer questions".
No need for that.
I don't think you can expect any Albin presence at all.
Sad but true.
A close friend had a boat custom built a few years ago by Hunter Scott in Pocasset on the Cape.
Currently, Hunter Scott has NO new orders.
It's a tough time for the boating industry.
Let hope that a new Administration can get this economy rolling faster and keep us out of a recession.

Made it to the NE Boat Show yesterday afternoon. The only sign of Albin was an Albin 26 CC at the Eastern Yacht Sales Booth. I'll post more info and conversations w/Albin suppliers on the shutdown thread.
Rick's photos of Legacy's new flooring had me investigating the vinyl teek flooring / some pretty nice stuff out there. Mainship and many others are using it. Also checked out some vendors to "T" the AC/reverse heat to the pilot house and was told from the supplier to Albin that I would need 20,000 BTU'S with all the windows and that my 12,000 would over work and ice up. The recomendation was to "T" into the head for a warm room to shower in on those cool rainy mornings. Mainship had great flat screen TV mounts (took some photos) and the Lectra-San units for discharging treated waste caught my interest. Now, where to fit the unit? Anyway, boat shows are good for the spirit!
