Bennett Trim Tab O-RIngs

Looking to replace the o-rings, 2 per side before launching. The process seems straight forward except for the lower hinge. In order to remove the piston, do I tap the pin out of the bracket? If so, are they reusable?

The kit comes with 4 o-rings, nothing else. Just want to be prepared.

I now know more than I care to know about on the subject of Bennett trim tabs. Ended up replacing the actuators for $180, not a horrible job. Here if you have questions.

Did the same with my Lenco’s two years ago. Thought I needed to replace another this year but turned out to be a bad cable which was a barrel of laughs feeding through the boat single handed!

My laughs came when I unscrewed the actuators (piston clamped) and some of the saltwater/tranny fluid blended white goop sprayed on my face and clothes. Looked like something from a Borat movie...
