Just pondering on an idea...
Since we’ve all been locked away in the main the past year and we’ve not been able to do rendezvous etc (something we’ve not yet done here in the U.K. anyway) it got me thinking a little bit. Time logistics may be an issue but
Anyone up for an AOG teams/zoom/google meet meeting one afternoon/evening?

I would guess dressing like you've been floating for a week or so would be right on the money for this sort of thing

Re: Just pondering on an idea...
I'm a little late to the party but I would very much be into a Teams meeting. I'm not a Zoom fan for security reasons but I'm flexible.
I can host or help. Let me know and we'll pick a date and send invitations.

Not late at all Jon. It only came into my head just under a day ago.
Will have to work times out so we can all log in 10pm here would be around 5pm eastern time there etc but I’m sure we can come up with something.

Re: Just pondering on an idea...
Count me in any EST time. I'm not in the water until April but it will be good to meet other Albineers "live" as it were. Zoom preferred but I'm flexible.
Question for John: Is this BYOB or will you be providing?

It's not too far to Deale. What is your preferred "B"?

I'm a simple sailor, so Dales Ale is what's usually in the icebox, although right now it's out on the porch with the Trader Joes Helmsman. Once I'm back on the slip the bar will be open, and the old 27 allows 6 foot distancing. Welcome aboard.

Re: Just pondering on an idea...
Sounds like a great idea. I will be on the water next Friday & Saturday 2/6 & 2/7 but home on Sunday, which is Super Bowl Sunday I believe? Any other time is fine. My desktop PC is all set up for zoom as that's how we've been conducting monthly membership meetings for the Lake Pleasant Sailing Club that the Admiral and I belong to here in AZ. Time is not an issue, but we are on Mountain Standard time, 2 hours behind Eastern.

Re: Just pondering on an idea...
Personally I’d prefer Teams - only because there is no time limit, oh and better encryption.
You don’t need to have teams as the invite will direct you to your web browser like google meet.

Never tried it. I'm a Stella man myself. I also enjoy Peroni. Lastly, we can't forget Natty Boh.

I'll be available for a Zoom meeting anytime except when the Superbowl or Americas Cup racing is going on. I'm in California GMT-8:00.
