Bow ladder specs for A25?
I’ve seen photos of these neat bow ladders on European boats. Anyone have one for sale, or have the specs for making one?
I have a TIG and some stainless tubing. If I fabricate one, I’m trying to think of a clever way to clip it to the bow rail somehow.
Thanks!

I'm not familiar with the bow ladder you are speaking of. Any pictures?
If you need some practice with your TIG, I happen to be in need of a new pulpit for the bow. Since I have to build the bowsprit first, it gives you plenty of time to look at your calendar!

Re: Bow ladder specs for A25?
Not sure the bow ladder would be much use where tidal fluctuations exist. Sweden fronts the Baltic Sea which has very little tidal variation. In videos I have seen boats come close up to rock faced islands, set a stern anchor and step off onto the rock face using the bow ladder and a bow line tied to a tree or nearby object. Such a set up might work fine in the Great Lakes. It would be of little use here with 14 to 16 foot tidal ranges.

I installled a swim platform from Båtsystem earlier this year, saw this in their offerings that looks close:

I got mine through waterbrands, out of PA i think. Took around 3 weeks from order to delivery, pretty quick considering coming from Sweden.

Thanks for the replies. In lakes or down on the gulf coast - Panama City, Fort Walton, Pensacola, tides are almost insignificant.
I think I saw one in a video. I’ll see if I can find it.

Re: Bow ladder specs for A25?
What a great event, wish we could have been there. I was almost dancing to the music (and I definitely don't dance). A clever mooring arrangement, and the boats are all in such good shape as well.
Questions:
1) Is the vessel "Belinda" an Albin? Its a nice looking piece of kit.
2) All of the boats have a circular, possibly canvas covered, thing on the bow. Can anyone tell what that is? All I can think of is an "At Anchor" ball in a bag, but I'm willing to bet I am very, very wrong.

There is another little thing that makes them more valuable in Sweden than here. There is a near constitutional right to travel and use of land in Sweden that allows them to hook up pretty much anywhere but in front if someones house. Anyone recognize the boat?

I believe it's an Albin 30. I've only seen them in Europe.

Here's another possibilty, from Europe. Looks quite inexpensive, but it's aluminium.

Ooops. Looks as if they only deliver within the EU. Sorry.

Re: Bow ladder specs for A25?
Thanks for sharing. I've been itching to do a stainless steel tubing project. That might work if I could hook it over the bow horizontal, then use that V to keep it upright. Very neat.Bob Noodat wrote: ↑Thu Aug 20, 2020 8:43 pm Here's another possibilty, from Europe. Looks quite inexpensive, but it's aluminium.

On the subject of the Albin 30, abovementioned, of genuine Swedish manufacture, here's an interesting find: on Vancouver Island, there is one for sale. Going to a site called usedvictoria dot com, then searching for "albin" you will see:
Definitely an A25 on steroids, but with the real Albin look and great period interior
