Air conditioning install on a 28

Post by Pedro »

Hi,My Mechanic told me I might need to add another shore inlet to supply power to the ac unit?
How did you guys power the circ pump, and the ac unit?
I see two spare spots on my ac panel?

You don't need another Shore power outlet, but will need two new circuits on the panel, one for the pump and one for the AC unit.

My 2001 was prewired at the factory for air conditioning, including a single switch labeled “Air Conditioner” on the AC panel. When we added air several years back, that single switch activates both the air and pump units. Don

My experience with marine AC units is same as Don's in that one breaker on the panel controls the unit and the controller on the AC unit is what powers the pump.
