AC Pump running and primed but no water?

Post by LISal »

I have water at the pump and when I open the prime valve I am getting an excellent flow. Pump is running and I am baffled why if its getting pumped up to unit why its not coming out the side of my vessel? any insight would be greatly appreciated...

Just a guess - have you checked the impeller?

Most likely impeller which are magnetic and with any obstruction will not spin. TA

Had this same problem when I put the boat in the water. A week later turned the ac on nothing but an error message. No water. I took the hose off the sea cock and found no water coming in. Apparently there was some growth inside. I took a long screw driver plunged it in and cleaned it the water came right up. Reattached the hose the problem was solved.
