CCotter pin for A-25 prop?
Hanging the new Bronze prop from Michigan Wheel on our A-25 and I notice that the old cotter pin is COPPER. I would ordinarily use a SS pin on our SS shaft, however, the hex nut is Bronze, so should I get a Copper pin? Ideas?

Re: CCotter pin for A-25 prop?
SS split pins work fine with no corrosion. I have used them over the years on monel shafts, stainless shafts, bronze nuts, bronze props, stainless props and aluminum props. The major pathway for electrolysis is between the prop and the shaft - the bronze prop will sacrifice to the stainless shaft unless a shaft anode is present or the prop is equipped with an anode nut.
