Wallas Nordic DT

Post by MadMoney »

Well after 20 years, my original Wallas cook-top heater died so I replaced it with the new model - the Wallas Nordic DT. The new model is great as it has a thermostat built into it so you can have climate control when using the it for heat and it works great. The only catch was I had to cut the hole 1/4" larger (towards the port side of the boat) but that wasn't an issue as I had a few inches. The challenge was this - the new unit is slightly deeper so I had to have a buddy build a 1" trim ring to "lift" the unit so it wasn't resting on the top of the fridge.

Next upgrade is going to be the faucets...

Re: Wallas Nordic DT - Microwave

Looks great! Question - does that good looking microwave fit into the original hole / space? If so, can you tell me the make / model, please? In eager anticipation.......

Hi David -

The microwave is a Black and Decker 700W model that I found a Target. It required some carving out inside the space but it was pretty easy.
