Port running light

Post by SCHOOLIE »

I know there is a simple answer. How do you open the plastic housing to access the light bulb on the port running light??? I can not find any screw. It is on a 2003 Albin 28 TE. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Use a small philips screwdriver, the head is on the bottom, center. Unscrew and lift up and out from the bottom.

Be careful not to drop the screw into the drink!

I hated those lights and replaced them with Hella's.

Looks nice! Was it a simple swap out?
I like that they are shorter so you can clean under them

Simple install. They are smaller footprint but perfectly sized to cover up the original screw and wire holes. Pricey but worth it.

Like Rob S, I replaced the nav lights with Hella LED's. They are awesome... bright and reliable!
