Inside fishing rod storage
How and where are you storing your fishing rods? I was thinking about a rod rack on the ceiling. Anyone have a photo?

Re: Inside fishing rod storage
My solution now is to store them in the quarter birth, with them sticking out over the galley for the longer ones. When i'm running I almost always have them on the radar arch.

Not ideal but I have been sticking with 6'6" rods or less and laying them on the shelf area over the forward berth. Have 6 there now.

Re: Inside fishing rod storage
Our casting rods are too long to fit the normal way in the pilothouse, so I angled them. Our trolling rods are short enough to fit in the quarter berth.

How long of a screw did you use. I don't want to go through to the deck>>>>

Screws are 3/4" long. The inner fiberglass skin of the cabin top is plenty thick enough to hold the screws. The core in the cabin top appears to be at least 3/4" thick.

Re: Inside fishing rod storage
There was a post long ago about someone using the dead space between the port side above the rear berth to mount a tube or rack I believe. I take mine down the night before and drop the dingy to get ready to go. I store them inside for the night then take them home. Don't want to loose the hardware. I'll see if I can find the post then update my response.
