Getting ready to pump out the crankcase oil so I can pull the transmission and the dipstick is GONE! Hey, I don't think the Volvo-Penta MD17C swallowed it! It must'a been there when I poured in the current oil so I'd know when to quit.
Anybody got one from a motor you're parting out?
Hope I'm not breaking any forum rules, but the "swap & trade" section seems devoted to complete boats.

I think WillieC would be your go-to guy on all things MD17C.

Found a dip stick on ebay for $19. The original will probably turn up eventually, but hey, one can't have too many dip sticks, eh?

Evidently, it's easier to find a dipstick for an MD17C than a 1985 Ferrari Mondial Quattrovalvole Cabriolet. But for a coupe? They're "only" $50.
And, no, they're not the same. Don't ask me how I know.
Anyone wanna buy a $50 Ferrari dipstick?
