TE28 w/330 Cummins
looking at purchasing a 28 with a 330 Cummins. Would anyone know what tranny was in those boats? Also, what is the cruise speed? Thanks

Most likely the ZF80 (HSW800) gear at 1.4:1. "Cruise" speed is a quite open to interpretation (and subject to varying conditions) but figure you should be able to dial her in for a safe mid to high teens cruise (knots).

I run the Cummins 370B in a TE28 with a ZF trans, cruise speed at 2400 rpms yields 16-17 mph.

Re: TE28 w/330 Cummins
I'm also getting about 16 knots loaded at 2400 RPM with my 250HP JWAC Cummins - so that sounds about right but I top out at about 19 while I'd imagine the 370 would top out at 22-24 knots?
