fuel filter
Hey all I have a 28 1995 with peninsula 300hp I took off the main fuel filter it had a parker s3227 when I looked it up it said outboard gas , would anybody happen to know the correct filter thanks burldrives@gmail.com

I did some quick looking at the Parker/Racor site - it would seem that the entire assembly would have to be changed to get a different filter element. That said - it's a 10 micron filter and water separator, so it's probably fine. It has a fairly high flow rate (it's made for high performance outboards). I'd stick with it.

10 micron recommended for the Beast?
I always had 2 microns on previous diesels, slept good that way.
Got 10 micron on my Cobia 175 toy boat with a 90 Yamaha fuel injected 4-stroke, 10 is good for gas, but perhaps course for diesels?

10 is ok for the older diesels. Maybe not good for common rail.
