Y-Valve removal

Post by jaybap »

Has anyone removed the Y valve for the head and just went from the head to the holding tank? I think I have a clog in the Y valve and its a pain to get unclogged. Auger snake is my next try. Id like to just get rid of it as theres really no need to go overboard. Thoughts?

You could definitely do that. I actually took it a step further, and

discarded everything between the toilet and the overboard discharge seacock. I bought a tank with top fittings. My system consists of a short hose from the toilet and then household PVC pipe from there to the top of the tank. Overboard discharge pumps are already threaded to screw right into the top of the tank. Run that hose to your existing waste seacock, and your done.
