Jay, I had trouble with that link but I'm always curious about a project Albin!

I found another on<> one of my favorite sites for salvage boat stuff.

Here is the 27: <>

Trolling through the internet for Albin stuff, I often come across boats/parts for sale but hesitate to post them on the site, I was worried it violated some of the site terms...

If you are talking about M.V. "Lucero", I did a fairly detailed look-see on her. I'm no marine surveyor, but I can tell you I was about to make an offer, when another deal "I couldn't refuse" came my way on an Albin 25 in Satellite Beach, FL.

Here is the cl posting I found:

https://orlando.craigslist.org/boa/d/albin27-family-cruiser-trailer/6528840296.html

If the link I provided doesn't work just go to the Orlando CL and search "Albin" in "boats for sale by owner."

I thought Albin 27FC and Project Boat were synonyms and always interchangeable

Pretty much so, especially if you're talking about a 47 year old Albin 25. There's always some repair or improvement to do, but that's half the fun of it, keeps one's time in retirement occupied & one's bank account from getting too fat. The other half spent bragging about 13 to 16 nautical MPG fuel economy.

I looked at the 27 listed on C.list Orlando (located in a warehouse in Melbourne,Fl) in Nov. 2017. It is more than a cosmetic restore but with knowledge could be a solid boat. Hull looked good with clean bottom and original thru hulls. Engine is Nissan non turbo and would need new hoses, etc. Engine ran, sounded good and came to 140 degrees as expected with good oil pressure. If I remember, it included bimini frame and canvas. Instruments would need wiring attention, plus lots of detail finishing. At the time, the owner offered to put in running condition and deliver to a slip near my home in North Fort Myers, Fl. Good luck to the potential buyer. Randall, "Manatee 27FC, North Fort Myers, Fl.
