Aluminum Anodes for Yanmar 6LPA

Post by Alan_Douville »

Does anybody know where to get Aluminum Anodes for a Yanmar 6LPA-STP2 ? I could not find them on BoatZincs and I need them. I sit in a Freshwater River that is too polluted for Magnesium Anodes, I go through them way too fast.

Any tips, would be appreciated!

outstanding Sleuth work, yes that me in Slip 13. The St. Joseph River feeds into Lake Michigan and ages ago the place was full of large manufacturing plants for automotive, but those are gone. So we have a brownish river feeding into the Big Lake, so I sit in that before I get to the clear blue of Lake Michigan. That is a pretty new picture with my dinghy dock in front of our boat, where did you get it?

Found the picture using you avatar location in a Google Images search. That slip is just calling for a bigger boat!

It's a fantastic place to boat, your pictures capture the scenes around our area. Even better, clear the pierheads by a mile and you are alone on that lake for fishing, beaching, etc..

We have a 45' Slip on purpose. That river cranks in the spring, and docking an Albin hard to port in fast current is an art, and bigger slips help ALOT.

But yes, we are debating a bigger boat, but we love the Albin 28, it's cheap to run and maintain comparably, and we are the only owner so I know it's been maintained in fresh water.

"outstanding Sleuth work"

I agree. Rob is pretty clever that way. I have used the google earth to locate our place on the Canal and there is a boat on a mooring ball! The date indicates that it is indeed the WillieC!

Amazing technology originally devised (in collaboration with) a son of dear friends of the Starfleet Commander. RIP, Matt.

We were out that way this summer. We flew into Milwaukee spent a night there and then headed over to my 17 year old daughter's National Baton Twirling Competition in Madison WI. After several days in Madison we drove out to Ann Harbor for an orientation for her at U Mich and eventually flying out of Detroit Metro . So heading east from WI, after lunch and hanging out at the waterfront in Chicago, we passed by your area on I-94, quick stop in Kalamazoo and then into Ann Arbor.

I work in Kalamazoo and the SW corner of Michigan is spectacular for living and boating. Our Albin is very unique here and she draws a lot of comments.
