Cleaning Beckson port lights

I cleaned all five of our Beckson port lights today which were a mess. We were barely able to see through them. I used the Maguires headlight cleaning system and was more than pleased with the results.

That's impressive! There are several Meguiar's headlight products . . . which one did you use?

Fyi,Should you choose to replace them they are readily available from Beckson in Ct,I did 4 of mine that were broken at the hinges,and it really makes the cabin look newer,,

Yes, I keep choking on the price.

Defender also carries them for a little less. Luckily, none of ours are broken.

Those portlights cleaned up nicely!

On my Beckson ports and trunk hatch on my 28 I had used Meguiars Mirror Glaze clear plastic cleaner #17 and then a follow up with Meguiars Mirror Glaze Clear Plastic Polish #10. Like the headlight system, it took all scratches blemishes away and the polish finished it off great. It very well maybe the same combo as the headlight kit. The 10 and 17 are found in marine stores.

At one time I thought I needed to replace a plastic windshield on a center console because it was so bad. I used the Meguiars and Bingo, Bango Bob's Your Uncle / looked close to new. I highly recommend the product.

The kit that I used actually started off with wet sanding using 1000 grit then again with 3000 grit,then buffing on a plastic cleaner, then following up with the cleaner protectant. Everything was supplied in the kit except for the electric drill.Bob
