Albin 28 storage/upgrades

Post by Matthew »

Please share your upgrades or storage ideas. I'm looking for a 28 but coming from a 38 so I'll have to get creative!! What's in the captains pedistal? Could there be more/ longer drawers in both pedestals? I was thinking of a short Bimini aft of the hard top with a net to store all my life jackets and abandon ship bag.

Welcome aboard, Matthew, if I haven't said so already.

We had the same challenge coming from a 32. Here's a thread to get you started: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5921&p=35039&hilit=storage#p35039.

Happy to help you find stuff in the forum, but the search function works well if you're so inclined. :)

there is nothing in the captains pedestal, so yes you can put a larger storage system in there - its on my short list right after I put in new (comfier) helm seats. if you contact Tagteam I know his boat (which is currently for sale) has a larger storage system under the helm seat. you could potentially put SLIGHTLY bigger drawers under the port side seat but you have to be careful as you run into the 1/4 berth. Honestly on a flush deck I would just use that area as storage as its pretty tight, on a engine box model its a larger area. There are plently of areas as highlighted in nancy's link above to create more storage in the 28te
