31 TE with starter problems - repost

Please help. We have a Albin 31 1997 mod with two peninsular Beast motors. I have a problem with one of the starter motors. There is no name or numbers on the starter. Im sitting in South Africa and am weary to order direct from the USA because if the unit arrives here and it is incorrect then my $600 courier cost and import duty is gone.
Failing that, is there anyone out there who has one or even two old starters that they are willing to part with.

I would call peninsular and talk to them. I believe the 97s used the newer style starter so you should be ok. It would be worth the long distance call to talk to them direct. They are very helpful.

I am not sure what year Peninsular engine this is but check this post because one of the items he is parting out is a starter.
