Down the Hatch
While waiting for one of our favorite restaurants in Ponce Inlet (down-the-hatch-seafood.com) to reopen after Matthew destroyed it, I was reminded of a different kind of down the hatch moment I had last fall while winterizing the boat. So just want to urge everyone to be extra cautious while there are open hatches onboard. I got engrossed with what I was doing and walked in out of the bright sun into the salon to do something, and suddenly was in the bilge. It stunned me for a minute, but luckily I escaped with a minor scrape. I know others haven't been so lucky. So stay safe and careful.
