Sanitation hose 35CB
Has anyone replaced the sanitation hose on a 35CB or 32+2? We may decide to tackle this job in a year or two -- way before it becomes urgent. I'm curious about the hose route under the head floor, beneath the hanging locker, under the step to the bed, etc. It seems like a lot of inaccessible area.

Re: Sanitation hose 35CB
Is the hose loose laid in those inaccessible areas or is it secured? If it's loose laid just connect the new to old with a double hose barb coupler and carefully feed through with a set of hands on both ends (feeding & pulling). Secure the ends together good because you don't want to let it come apart half way through. You'll definitely lose points for that!

Re: Sanitation hose 35CB
That's a good question, Rob, and I don't know the answer. Thanks for the idea about how to feed new hose if the stars align. When did you say you're coming up to work on this with us? I forgot.
When we eventually get to this project, I'm tempted to simplify the system by installing a new toilet -- maybe a Marine Elegance if it fits or something similar -- and getting rid of the Vacuflush components. Fewer connections, less to go wrong, etc.

Re: Sanitation hose 35CB
Nancy, I replaced all of my sanitation hose on my 32+2. It took about 20 feet (!) of hose. My boat has a holding tank and two Y-valves (one to choose direct discharge/holding tank and the other to choose macerator/deck pump out). I used the old hose to pull the new for the runs from settee area to head. All was loose so no big issues, but not a fun project. Definitely made me consider a return to a composting head that I had on a prior boat.
Given the effort involved I think it is worth using the good hose despite the cost.
