For those who have replaced the canvas with a permanent hard top, did you carve down the raised combing around the "sunroof" so that your new top is flush with main pilothouse structure? My thought in doing this is creating something that looks like it was meant to be there. I've seen a few examples of tops that have an awkward transition from the factory roof camber to something that is basically bolted on. No shame, just curious about folks' process in building these. What worked and what didn't.
