Our non-profit 2nd Wind Foundation offers free boating excursions onboard our Albin 35 TE to youth and seniors, healthy, or with disabilities in Narragansett bay from Bristol Harbor RI. These have proven to be lots of fun and very popular.
As the Bristol Harbor Maritime Center does not have wheelchair accessible docks or slips we have designed a portable & stow-able ADA Boarding Platform ( copywrite protected) and will be building kits for sale and producing these next year (2025) . These will be great for seniors and people with mobility issues or large canines and are adaptable to aboard any powerboat with a swim platform or tuna door.
These are designed to be built using treated teak gratings ad frames and aluminum and stainless steel hardware, however we are currently pricing these units to be built in composite materials in deference to maintenance-less boating.
