Generator location for 32?

Question from a guy at the marina...

He has a 96 32 that was a hurricane boat. He spent the last 2 years repairing everthing. Boat is beautiful now. Anyway...he bought a 4 k generator. I think he said Yanmar.

Does anyone know where it should go? Best fit? He said there is an AC unit installed port side - aft. He thinks he has to move the AC unit and that's where the genny should be installed.

Any thoughts?

Precisely where it goes. My 32 is also a 96. The AC unit is under the fwd berth.

In my '89 32, the genset is under port aft locker. THe A/C unit is under the stbd aft berthing nearest the hull.

In my '89 32 the generator is under the cockpit floor between the aft port locker &the rear of the engine . The A/C unit is on the lower shelf ( bunk extension ) of the aft closet.
