Albin 82MS Hull #138 is mine!

Post by ericdurett »

1978 82MS motorsailer has been on Lake Champlain for approx 40 years with the same owners, and I purchased her two weeks ago. Excellent overall condition with original sails and a 2009 Yanmar that only has 130 hours on it. I’ve done a few interior projects just to make it my own, other than that it’s been a very turn-key experience!
Any contact with other owners of this rare bird would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Eric

Congratulations, Eric, and welcome aboard! What a sweet little boat, and so well cared for, and with a spotless bilge to boot!

Where is she berthed? It kind of looks like Champlain Bridge Marina. And is that a 28TE two or three boats beyond her? I haven't been down that way for a few years, but I remember seeing one there as I drove by.

Yes, it’s at CBM. The 28TE owners were the first neighbors to come on board to have a look, of course!
That slip was located inside the inner portion of the marina, I’ve since been relocated to an outer slip near the mouth of that little bay with a lot more maneuvering space (and a sweeter view).
All the interior mechanical spaces of the boat are as clean as that bilge. The owners really put their efforts into keeping it that way, it was very apparent that they didn’t just wipe it all down in a hurry to sell it.
Thanks for saying hi!
