Yanmar parts in Puget Sound area

Post by 11kolive »

Hello! We are getting closer to closing on a boat and I am wondering where to get Yanmar engine parts in the Puget Sound area. This will be my first Yanmar and I am watching as many YouTube videos about maintaining it as I can. I’ve had Ford Lehman, Perkins and Universal diesel engine previously.

Thanks,
Keith Olive

Hatton Power & Propulsion, 4735 Shilshole Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107

Tri-County Diesel Marine, 2696 Roeder Ave # 201, Bellingham, WA 98225
Website http://tricountydieselmarine.com/

Also in the San Juan Islands there's West Sound Marina on Orcas Island, 525 Deer Harbor Rd, Eastsound, WA 98245. But their parts inventory is limited to more common PM parts like filters & gaskets & such. For less common parts they may have to order from Seattle which could take a couple days to arrive.
I've purchased parts from Tri-County several times in the past and they're good with decent inventory. If you ever had the need to purchase a replacement raw water pump be aware there are different versions for the same engine depending on what transmission & if it's a conventional direct drive like our Albins or a "sail drive" for sailboats which is sort of like an I/O lower unit for sailboats.

Two thumbs up for Tri-County in Bellingham.
Tell Asa Rick sent you.

I’m in the process of overhauling a Yanmar raw water pump for spare. I sure do miss my MD17C, Volvo Penta.
