Perko 0493 Strainer

Post by ControlIssues32 »

After 24 years with basically no maintenance, all 4 bolts snapped on my strainer. No idea how but I’m up in the Northeast and assume it was freezing water (even though it was empty ( back in December). Very odd but whatever.

Finding the rods wasn’t exactly easy. Figured no problem, I’ll just source the rods and do it myself. Ha!

Getting the material from McMaster was no problem. Cutting the threads with a die without a proper clamping method…. Let’s just say I brought them to work and a machines hooked me up:). Way better of a job than a hack like myself!

Anyhow, I made an extra set. If it happens to you, let me know:)
