Bilge pumps 32+2/35CB
But maybe someone can answer a question I have had since I bought the boat. There is a float switch in the forward bilge, but I have never been able to find the pump itself. Luckily that bilge rarely gets wet, so it has never been an issue. Anyone know where the pump is? All I see is the float switch.

Hi Thomas --
I moved your post to a new thread.
I'm going to guess that the pump has been removed from your forward bilge. Our forward bilge pump didn't work when we bought the boat in 2022, and we've finally replaced it. Access is difficult.
The first year we had our boat, that compartment had minimal water at the end of the season. Last year, to our horror, it was nearly full in the fall! We pumped out 10 or 15 gallons. I wish we knew where it came from. We splashed on Monday and have had some rain, and so far, it's dry. I'm glad to have a working pump there. Not that it would sink the boat. If that compartment filled, it would spill over into the aft bilge, where the other bilge pumps would handle it.
Here's a photo of our pump before it was replaced. We mangled it pretty badly trying to take it apart for what was supposed to be easy servicing.

Re: Bilge pumps 32+2/35CB
Thanks, Nancy. That's pretty much my situation. There is a float switch down there, but for the life of me I can't trace the wires to anywhere, and neither can two mechanics who tried as well. Where is the outlet for your new pump?

Re: Bilge pumps 32+2/35CB
We replaced the pump with another Johnson pump (33703) and electromagnetic switch (36152). It was plug and play not counting the difficult access. The discharge hose goes out the starboard side of the boat along with air conditioner discharge, shower sump, mid-ship bilge pump, cockpit sink, and head sink. There's a row of five thru-hull fittings below the after mid-ship cleat.
