weaver & leaver

Post by craw_daddy »

I have a 10' Waker Bay Genesis RIB & a 15hp Johnson & I intend to use the Weaver system. I had to machine away some of the Genesis transom to be able to install the leaver properly, but I am happy so far with how it came out. I will be installing the snap davits to the swim platform & mounting the prop rod for the leaver motor mount. I will take some pics when done.

Dinghy setup

Post by JoeH »

Had a 10" Walker Bay on my previous 36' Egg Harbor with a Weaver Davit system. With my 28 TE I'v switched to a collapsable "Porta-Bote" see Porta-bote.com. It's 8.5' long weighs 48# and folds up to 4" thick. Perfect for when we throw out the hook or tie up to a mooring mainly for getting our dog to shore. We keep it either on the cabin top or attach it along the bow rail.

We'll have it with us when we go to the rendevous in Beantown.
