Well the shrink wrap came off finally. Had torrential rains this weekend which showed I have bad leaks in both of my 2001 pilot house side sliding windows. Weeping all along bottom of frame. I see screws along the inside frame. I'm assuming whole window has to be pulled and re sealed or is there a simpler way? So question is, remove inner screws and frame and pull window from outside? Any pointers or heads up I should know about in advance? What type of sealant is best. Silicone orcaulking?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Side window leak
Marsea -- 28TE? Are the weep holes in the track open? Track is clean and water runs freely to outside?

Re: Side window leak
We didn't have to deal with leaks on our pilothouse windows, but I've seen posts where the leaks came from the roof. Are you certain that the leaks are at the window frames and not from the handrails above? We did re-bed those.

Re: Side window leak
Let me know if you re-seal. I need to do my front middle frame. I'm gonna use butyl tape.

Re: Side window leak
Yes checked. They're weeping all along bottom frame. Probably coming from top edge of frame.
