Passenger helm area: what do you use it for?

Post by AlbinOhhh »

I keep trying to figure out on my 28 TE what to use that space for. Anyone come up with some handy ideas?

Was thinking of a clean looking box on non-slip surface to hold daily cooking stuff.

That’s nice! Can I get dimensions for that? I’ll have a neighbor build me one in wood!

I should add my boat is in Florida and I am in Arizona so I have no way to do any measurements myself.

We had a cushion made. It is an excellent extra seat for anyone- child or adult.

Found my answer on Amazon with a bunch of hunting.

Search “ 16 20 shadow box deep”.

For about $90 there are several options that have OD’s of 16 x 20 x 4”. Giving you an inside of roughly 15 x 19 x 3”. Lain flat, you have a glass topped storage unit!

Custom starboard net chart storage from Boat Outfitters. "seafoam" color matches pretty well with the gelcoat.

Seconded on the cushion. With some snaps it is removable if we need to.
