Hi are the fresh water cooling hoses metric or SAE? I am having problems finding replacements that connect to the heat exchange any suggestions? Thank you

All of mine are S.A.E.
And I have a Yanmar engine.

Not sure you have a A25 or A27 but in either case. There will be a SAE size hose that will fit but the boats are so old so it's likely that they been replaced. A trip over to whats left of Defender is in order

5/8th SAE I believe, at least for Yanmar 3GM30F. Are you talking about sea cock to raw water pump inlet, raw water pump discharge to heat exchanger inlet or the antifreeze/fresh water side in & out of the HX? If the latter I dont know since I've never had to replace them. Since they're molded/curved I'd guess they're Yanmar dealer parts.

I bet they will. Nearly nothing left of the store. Just a stupid showroom. Terribly sad. Website suck too. Better fit for a womans dress store

That is sad. I just checked their 'defendermarine.com' web URL and the domain name is for sale. Over the past nine years of Albin ownership they were my go to online store for reasonably priced items, things like Groco marine head pump rebuild kits, Beckson vent covers, bottom paint, prop shaft packing material & extraction tool, windshield wiper blades, side marker nav lights, bilge pump float switch, and Whale bilge pump rebuild kit, to name just a few. They will be missed.

Whew! Well that's nice to know! I guess reports of Defender's demise were premature. Not that I have any pressing needs for parts or accessories at the moment, but I'm glad they're still in business, even if only online. Thanks, Nancy!
