Need Plastic strainers for raw water intake

I am looking for a source for plastic strainers to replace the stainless steel ones for the raw water intakes engine and air conditioner. I have both perko and graco bronze strainers. Plastic should last longer and be a lot cheaper. I have seen them but can't find a source now that I need one.

Do a search for Defender Marine. They have a wide varity of items at a great price.

I am a bit of a fan of defender.com too. They are more of a 'nuts & bolts' type place than the West variety. Better prices too.

Why are your stainless filters not lasting? Stainless should last essentially forever. Plastic is a great replacement, but stainless should be more than sufficient.

My strainers are o.k., it was for a boat docked next to ours, his had rotted out. I had seen an ad for the plastic baskets but could not remember where. Thanks for the replies.
