I joined this group last summer, when I bought a 2008 Albin in the Connecticut Area. Went silent for a few months, as I found myself changing jobs. Now, I am in St. Joseph Michigan, on Lake Michigan. My Albin arrives up here tomorrow Afternoon and takes the splash in her new home. Looking forward to big water boating in FRESH water, already had my Lund out and put 5 Salmon in the box.

Check with the locals. You may need to make some modifications to your boat for fresh water use. I know a lot of the "freshies" use magnesium anodes instead of zinc. Also, your depth sounder will need to be re-calibrated (usually a simple setting). You may or may not also want to change your bottom paint, depending on what you have right now.

Nobody mentioned any paint issues, I am hoping that it is good for a season. I read up on my Raymarine Digital Sonar Box and it made no mention of recalibration or settings of that nature. It looks like it is working.
The anodes are a good piece of info, I shall see to that.
Thanks!
