Shade for 35CB Cockpit
Any advice for bimini top or shade for the cockpit of CB 35? I am looking if there is an off the shelf solution without going custom. I measured and it looks like 128 inches wide and 92 inches long. Last owner (Jerry Crews) apparently had a hard top that was taken down before I saw the vessel. Appreciate any advice.

I don't think you'll find anything off the shelf unless it's do-it-yourself. For a real bimini, you're looking at custom.
Last year, I was looking for something simple and inexpensive. Here's the thread:

We are going custom. I saw the other thread discussing Custom from Boat Canvas factory, but we live in North Florida and I don't want to go to Boca. Using a local company, we arrived at a deal renewing all upholstery interior and exterior and a new enclosure for the bridge.

We use a 6'x6' Taylormade AnchorShade umbrella and it shades the cockpit nicely when you're on the hook or in a marina. Folds up nicely and stands in the shower when we're underway or home.

Hello Sanatee,
Thanks for the idea. I will acquire an umbrella for the time being while waiting for the rest of the project to get underway.

Re: Shade for 35CB Cockpit
Hello…
I purchased the Taylor sun shade ..
Just 4 connections…have each corner connected to a cleat and than a pole in the middle to adjust the heat …
Very happy with it ..great sun shade.
Easy to store and set up once you get the right tension on the corners all set ..
Can set it up in 2 minutes now ..

Re: Shade for 35CB Cockpit
I asked the same question when we bought our 2004 35 CB and someone sent me the attached file with ideas, all obviously based on custom fabrications. It looked more expensive than we had in mind so we stuck with a Taylor Made umbrella as someone else suggested.
