Re: rough around the edges Albin 25
I think there is already a patent out on something similar as there is a company that sells something similar, there are a bunch of devices out there that help prevent roll at anchor, and anyway that sounds like a job which will cut into my boating time

Here’s a few pictures from this last years Desolation and Discovery Islands trip, not in any particular order.
And some Gulf Islands.
We always start out in Wallace island where we met up with three other Albins coming from the Ladysmith Rendesvous.
Mudge Island
Shoal Bay looking up Phillips arm.
Shark Spit.

Sunrise from home?? Not part of the trip but the picture didn’t want to leave?
Float plane ,Nanaimo harbour.
On our way home stopped in at Wallace and barely squeezed into a spot.
Adding 2022 and sprucing up our sign on Wallace.
This one’s for DA!

I believe that old willies truck was shown in a YouTube video put out by travels with jordy. He cruises that area, and I’m quite sure I’ve seen it in his videos.

Re: rough around the edges Albin 25
I apologize if this has already been answered, but the 3 A25s I’ve worked on with 30mm shafts are threaded 20x2.50mm; nearly identical to 3/4-10, but not quite. With some care you can run a metic tap thru a 3/4-10 nut and have a perfect fit. Ideally, you would enlarge the 3/4 nut with a 23/32 drill but I have done some without it. I typically use a special bronze nut that attaches a prop nut zinc. I bought a metric tap on ebay for about $12. The ISO standard for metric prop shafts calls for a different taper than the SAE standard. Also, the keyway on the Albin 30mm shafts was actually standard for the next size larger shaft; so, overwidth for 30mm. (10mm vs 8mm).

Re: rough around the edges Albin 25
My error: a proper tap drill for 20x2.50 is not 23/64. In fact, I have used 22/64(11/16) and found the fit a bit loose, but still ok. Works best just re-tapping the 3/4-10 if you are able.

Re: rough around the edges Albin 25
Ives,
Your excellent photos have me salivating to get back up there next year! It's been too long, 3 years, since our last BC Albineer rendezvous in 2019 & 4 years going on 5 since Desolation Sound with Rick & Heidi in WillieC. We will be in New Zealand next spring, "campervanning" for a week on the South Island & see Milford Sound up close (very much like the BC Inside Passage but with different trees). We fly out to Queenstown, NZ on March 14 & gain a day crossing the date line, then after 8 days of RV'ing take ship on Holland America's MS Noordam for a 39 day repositioning cruise across the Pacific that ends up debarking in Vancouver, BC on May 2nd. Then once back home we'll have a month to get La Dolce Vita ready for our 5th trailering road trip to PNW sometime in the first couple weeks of June & be afloat thru July & some if not all of August. This time hopefully buddy boating with our Arizona sailing friends who now have a Southern Cross 31 full keel cutter rigged sloop based in La Conner, WA, presently laid up on the hard for winter storage. They have never been farther north than Pender Harbour/Garden Bay & Chatterbox Falls. We want to return to Desolation Sound & maybe shoot for the Broughtons.
