What is behind the head liner

If I remove the headliner from the head in a 2002 28 TE…..what will I find? Will it be fiberglass I can polish ?

It is rough, unfinished fiberglass. It will not be a smooth gelcoat surface that can be polished. If you remove the headliner, it will have to be replaced.
