Had a little mishap with the wind screen at the helm :
The break has some jaggedness to it, but no pieces are missing. I'm considering gluing it. Any idea what kind of goo I should use? Epoxy? I don't know if it's Lexan or plexiglass, and I don't know if that makes a difference on what to use. I read that acetone melts plexiglass together.
I might ask a local fabricator about making a new one, but right now, this is low on the priority list and it's not a critical component since the helm is already protected by isinglass. Have also toyed with the idea of leaving it off, but the helm cover doesn't fit right without it.

Re: Wind screen 35CB
Check out 3M’s website. About 6 years ago I found a two part 3M product that worked on thermoset plastic. I chased around and found it in stock at a larger real hardware store in MA. Sorry I can’t remember the exact product.
If it were me, I would add a wood trim strip across the entire top to reinforce the vulnerable top edge of the glued seam. Going all the way would look intentional instead of a patch at just the seam. Good luck.

Re: Wind screen 35CB
I mixed up some epoxy and it's not a gorgeous repair, but it worked. Crisis averted. Someday, probably a long time from now, I'll think about having a new one made.
