Window frozen shut
1996 Albin TE 300. Just out of dry dock for bottom paint and install new transducer. I can't seem to open the port side window. It is jammed somehow. It was free and sliding with ease before dry dock. Any suggestions as to how to move the frame to free the window.

Let the boat sit in the water for at least a few days. The window will probably free up on its own. The boat seems to take a set when on the hard. Doesn't really like it.

The general rule is to finish final alignment of the engine/shaft/mounts in the water. On our ancient A25, the difference between measurements taken on the four bunk trailer vs. in-water were negligible.
Nancy's advice for a stuck window would never have occurred to me. Gotta love AOG (and our ancient WillieC.)

I do think that the skill/care/or lack thereof of the yard guys who do the actual setting/blocking are a real factor here. As well as the ground she sits on. I’ve been doing my alignments out of the water for 15 years and checking some time after splash has revealed nil with no adjustments needed.

So you always block her level, Rob? Sometimes I've intentionally had the bow a little high to facilitate draining. The window opened after a few days in the water. The termites are dead or gone and the engine is back to normal idle at 600 rpm. Replaced the fuel line as it was full of cracks and changed all fluids. Ready to GO Fishing!

I thought the termites were gone. Further investigation has found more some in the cabin area and more in the stringers. I have treated the stringers and other suspected areas with Premise Foam Termiticide. Tapping on the stringers did not sound hollow so I had to drill with a 1/4" bit, if the drill punched through easily I treated with the Premise Foam Termiticide. I am in search of a product that I can pump into the areas where the stringers were eaten by the termites. The termites have left sections of wood in the stringer that would adsorb a polyester type resin. The area of most concern are where the engine mounts sit on the stringers. The fiberglass seems to be about a 1/4" to 5/16" thick.
Please advise as to how to proceed.
